Javon Jones a contemporary ballet dancer and a Detroit native born and raised in the city. The Cass Technical High School senior is set to embark on the next leg of his young life’s journey. Mr. Jones has earned many honors through his passion for dance and dedication to his studies.
Max Mara recently celebrated Mr. Jones as the first Max Mara Young Visionary Award recipient. Now Mr. Jones has been awarded $10,000 a four-year scholarship to the Juilliard School for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in New York. The honor is more than a reward for artistic and academic abilities it is a reflection of his personal qualities and drive for excellence.
