Empowering Students

to Rise!

The Detroit Public Schools Community District Foundation is the official philanthropic partner of Detroit Public Schools Community District, dedicated to expanding opportunities for more than 50,000 students across 105 schools. As the District’s official philanthropic partner, we serve as the bridge between those who want to invest in Detroit’s students and the opportunities that help them reach their full potential.

We unite philanthropy, corporate, civic, and community partnerships to advance the District’s strategic priorities, raising private support that enhances educational experiences, removes barriers to student success, and prepares students for college, careers, and life. Through strategic investments and collaborative partnerships, we help create the conditions for every student to thrive while strengthening the future of Detroit, one opportunity at a time.

Since 2003, the DPSCD Foundation has raised more than $30 million to support the District’s highest priorities and expand opportunity for Detroit students. As Michigan’s largest public school foundation, we mobilize philanthropic investment at scale by bringing together donors, corporations, foundations, civic leaders, alumni, and community partners to help deliver the programs, initiatives, and transformational opportunities that matter most to DPSCD students, families, and educators. Together, we are building a stronger future for Detroit by investing in the success of every student.
