The American Federation of Teachers, General Motors, and local school leaders have launched the Manufacturing Futures program. Supported by a $500,000 initiative, this hands-on program will bring 3D printers, robotic arms, and high school mentorship to classrooms in Detroit and Dearborn. Launching this fall, it aims to prepare more than 2,800 middle school students each year for high-demand careers.
