Detroit, MI – June 15, 2011 – The Detroit Public Schools Foundation (DPSF) is pleased to announce its support of the 27th annual Detroit Public Schools (DPS) Excellence Awards Banquet, which will recognize 308 DPS students who’ve shown exceptional scholastic ability by maintaining a Grade Pointe Average of 3.5 or higher throughout high school. Each student will receive a plaque recognizing this accomplishment and a $25 Target gift card courtesy of Target Corporation. In addition, 14 students who maintained straight “A”s throughout high school will each receive a $500 scholarship.
