At the Michigan Chronicle’s Legacy in Motion Gala held on December 12, 2009, the Pickard Family Fund presented a generous donation of $100,000 to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation. This gift will be used to support DPS athletic and fine arts programs. Pictured are Leroy C. Richie, Chairman of the DPS Foundation Board of Directors, and Robert C. Bobb, DPS Emergency Financial Manager, accepting the check from William F. Pickard, Chairman of the Pickard Family Fund, and Vivian Pickard, a member of the Pickard Family Fund Board of Directors.
